Pastor Wayne Atkins:

I have been the Senior Pastor at Pacific Beach Bible Church for almost twelve years. It has been a wonderful privilege to serve and minister to God's people in this community.

I'd like to let you know a little bit about myself and family. I grew up in a family where no religion was practiced. I got married in my senior year of High School to Lucy Montano, who has been my faithful partner for the past 40 years. After seven years of marriage, by God's grace, we began to have a hunger in our hearts for something more meaningful. In 1974, God in His mercy revealed to us, that true meaning is only found in His Son Jesus Christ, who hung on a Cross to bear all of our sins. On a Wednesday night, we both got down on our knees and received Him as our Lord and Savior. That was 32 years ago. Since then, we have seen good times and have had our share of difficult times. But through them all, God has blessed us with His Presence and His Peace which surpasses all understanding. My wife and I have six children (3 biological and 3 adopted, 2 of which are special needs) and 13 grandchildren.
